Tidal Bear Transport LLC was born from a simple idea: transportation should be dependable, personal, and rooted in genuine care.

After fourteen years in the industry, Jerry — known to most as Jerr Bear — felt called to build something of his own. Not just a trucking company, but a family legacy that reflects the values he lives by: hard work, honesty, and treating people right.

With the support of his wife and two children and the determination that only comes from years on the road, Tidal Bear Transport rolled into life with one 26‑foot box truck, and a mission to serve Coastal North Carolina with the consistency of the tide and the strength of a bear.

Our Story

For over a decade, Jerry worked in transportation, learning the ins and outs of freight, customer service, and the importance of doing the job right the first time. He built a reputation for being reliable, steady, and the kind of driver who takes pride in every load — big or small.

As a family, we saw a need in our community for an LTL carrier that wasn’t just another number on a dispatch board. We wanted to create a company where customers know who’s behind the wheel, where communication is clear, and where every delivery is handled with care.

So we took the leap. We combined Jerry’s experience with our family’s vision, and Tidal Bear Transport was born — a name that reflects both our love for our coastal community and our commitment to strength and reliability.
